Welcoming Hervé Paques, our new Strategy Director
Some things come together not by coincidence, but because the conditions were right.
We have always believed that strategy is not a phase of a project. It is the foundation on which everything else stands. Context analysis, audience mapping, key messages, campaign strategy, brand positioning, these are the disciplines that determine whether communication actually moves people or simply fills space. As the agency grew and took on increasingly complex mandates with committed organisations, the need for dedicated, senior strategic leadership became clear.
It is in that context that we crossed paths with Hervé Paques.
A career built at the intersection of expertise and purpose
Hervé brings over 20 years of experience in international creative and communication agencies. He served as Strategy Director at Ogilvy Belgium, where he was part of Publicis Groupe, leading communication programmes for major European and Belgian institutions, including the European Commission (DG COMM, DG ECHO, DG INTPA, DG REGIO), the European Parliament and the Belgian federal government, as well as organisations such as MSD and DKV.
His expertise sits at the intersection of deep contextual analysis, audience insight and integrated communication strategy. He specialises in translating complex societal challenges into clear narratives and campaigns that mobilise stakeholders and deliver measurable results, exactly the kind of work that committed organisations need most right now.
Beyond agency life, Hervé lectures in the Public Relations Master programme at IHECS, where he founded the “e-PR & Data Intelligence” course. He is also Vice-President of Natagora, one of Belgium’s leading nature conservation organisations, active in Wallonia and Brussels. Founded in 2003, Natagora protects and restores biodiversity through nature reserves, scientific monitoring, public education and policy advocacy, and counts over 26,000 members. For those wondering whether Hervé’s commitment to environmental and social causes is professional positioning or lived conviction: it runs deep, and it shows.
An alignment that felt immediate
When Camille Chatelier, Benoît Rolin co-founders of the agency and the all team first met Hervé, the conversation quickly moved past credentials. What emerged quickly in the discussion was a shared reading of the challenges facing purpose-driven organisations and companies today, the urgency of building communication that holds under scrutiny. The same belief that strategy, creativity and impact are not competing priorities but inseparable ones.
That alignment translated into something straightforward: Hervé joined MOJO in 2025.
Since then, his agenda has been quite full of work 😉 He has contributed to strategic positioning work for the agency itself, supported multiple pitches and tenders, and brought his expertise directly to a growing number of client mandates, including Amfori, UITP, Hub Brussels, Solidaris Brabant, FEBA and Carbon Management Europe, among others.
What he brings to our clients
Hervé reinforces MOJO’s strategic capacity across the full range of what we do: brand strategy and positioning, communication strategy and campaign planning, stakeholder engagement, public relations, impact measurement and participatory workshop facilitation. For clients working on issues that require both rigour and clarity, whether in carbon management, public health, mobility, democratic engagement or international cooperation, that depth matters.
He also brings an important European dimension. His experience working with EU institutions, combined with his understanding of how public affairs and communication intersect, strengthens MOJO’s ability to serve organisations operating in complex institutional environments.
A first outing that said it all
One last thing worth mentioning. Shortly after Hervé joined, the team organised an outdoor day to welcome him properly. He led the walk. Within the first hour, he had identified a dozen bird species by sound alone, a reminder that some people carry their values into every part of their life, not just their professional biography. The team came back with a clearer sense of who they had welcomed ;-)!
We are proud and genuinely glad to work alongside Hervé. His presence reinforces what we want to be for our clients: a strategic and creative partner that combines ambition with substance, and long-term thinking with the ability to act.
Welcome, Hervé.
